East Side Shawarma in Kitchener

I drive out of town for this place almost once a week! They make their garlic sauce from scratch and the chicken is always fresh! Never over cooked! They're always fresh which makes the food SOOO good. They're shawarma plate is craveable. Ive been to many shawarma places all over southwestern Ontario but this is honestly the best. I keep coming back.

The absolute best Chicken Shawarma plate in KW! The Chicken Shawarma Poutine is an amazing twist on the original -- a must try! The staff are always fast & friendly.

Tasty shawarmas, reasonable prices. Limited options on the menu. Salad variety can be improved as they seem to only include lettuce and small amount of cucumber, onion and red cabbage.

I meet with friends this lovely spot often! This is my favorite restaurant to grab a bite. I go there at least once a month. The cooking is very good, the team is helpful and the prices are reasonable. I like meeting in this restaurant over a good supper.

In my opinion, best shawarma in Kitchener. The portions sizes are great for the price, and the service is always quick. Surprisingly good fries for a shawarma restaurant, I recommend substituting salad for fries on the shawarma plate (for an extra $1).

Having lived in the Middle East for several years, this is definitely deserves 4 stars for the chicken shawarma I ate. Try the spicy and mayo sauces.

I've had shawarma from most places here in town and I always come back to this one. Their the best in town! Fresh food, quick knowledgeable and friendly service. Absolutely delicious

Good food! But most of the time the employees are not so welcoming except a tall guy who always is awesome in reception.

Its good for eat non veg .but for vegitarian its not good because they use same oil for both meals . By the bay meals are so tasty .so i give 3 stars only .i request to use separate oil for veg and non veg meal thank you.

Very surprised how this establishment has the rating score it does. I come from the city so shawarma places are a dime a dozen and clearly I’ve taken them for granted. The sauces and ingredients were lacking and of poor quality. instead of tahini sauce on my sandwich which is an industry standard I received what I thought was hot sauce but yet to my surprise was really just ketchup with cut with a squirt of siracha so it could pass as hot sauce. Very disappointed, especially when I got my sandwich and it was open on both ends..

The cheese on the poutine wasn't that good the shawarma was very taystee

Such a nice place to have tasty shawarma. Even though the place is always busy, they never forget offering good customer service. Shawarma wrap combo is a good deal. And even chicken shawarma wrap is so heavy for 8$

Its craaaaaazy amazing, im sooo happy i have visited and dined in this place, the plate came really over full, the taste is out of this world and the price is sooo cheap compared to other shawarma places. Love this place for shawarma. One of the best and affordable shawarma places in kitchener. Ask for all 3 sauces, its soooooo good. Rice is super tasty too. The ladies are super nice. Friendly staff.

The best Shawarma in the area. Full stop. Family owned and operated, every time I go, I get the sense that they care what I think about the food and the experience. Even through the COVID their customer service and good quality food has not disappointed me. They say they make the sauces in house, and I believe them! Amazing shawarma poutine.

It is all about the sauces. The chicken swarma is nothing to right home about but the sauces make it 5 star. The salad swarma and the swarma plate with sufficient sauce are sure to please. On the plate enjoy all 3 sauces. On the salad we had 2 sauces, excluding the hot sauce. The swarma wrap, suggest go light on the condiments and add the sauces is sufficient amount to get it to pop with flavour.

A co-worker suggested to go here for lunch and it was a good decision. I had the shawarma poutine, and it was excellent. The restaurant was clean, however it seemed a little unorganized (you'll see what I am talking about when you see some of the fridges with drinks). The price was higher than I would have liked (about $12) and the portions were okay. Next time I'm in town I'll give it a try again for sure.

BEST SHAWARMA EVER! Staff is friendly. My only issue with this place is that it gets quiet cold in here during winters. Food makes upto it!

4/5 I tried shawarma poutine.. $11 (incl. tax), taste good. I would suggest them not to crush shawarma chicken too much, it ruined the flavor of shawarma and taste like a chicken sandwich shredded pieces..

CHEESE WAS NOT FRESH..Got food poisoning and the food was terrible. Wish the ottawa and river shawarma place never closed down I would never come to this place.

My fav shawarma place in KW region. I travel from waterloo to take my shawarma meal. I haven’t tried everything from here but their prices are so reasonable and quantity they serve is great. I love their Shawarma With Rice so very much❤️

The chicken schwarma plate was great, but that is pretty much it. If you are looking for that, go here, it awesome. So the 3 star is for a one dish shop. Otherwise it was really good.

Update: owners actually thanked me for review, and then added more hummus and tzatziki to my Friday meal, no charge...First time based on reviews: hands down beats my IPotato review 4 months ago. Lots of meat, will do half rice half fries, and it's enough for 2 meals. I even got a non-meat (Falafel) meal for Friday. A carnivore and vegetarian can eat for $20cdn and $2 for 2 pops.Will return with others!

Good place to try Shawarma if you're one of the Shawarma fan. Staff is good except one lady cashier.

Sooooo good! This is honestly one of my favourite shawarma places. The staff are quite friendly; the location is kind of a pain. I really wish they'd pair up with Skip the Dishes or Just Eat. The restaurant itself is quite small, and while most customers appear to purchase take out, there are limited spots for eat-in customers and customers waiting for their take out. It can get a bit cray in there, so if that would dissuade you from eating here, just step out and go to the variety store for a few and then come back for your food. It's worth it!

This is the best Shawarma restaurant in KW!!! Chicken plate was $10 after tax, some restaurant sometimes over $10. So really tasty and price is good, this is perfect!!! Since few months ago, price was up. But, still good for me!
